In a not-so-shocking revelation by The Economist in October, Mumbai and Delhi were ranked the 16th and the 18th most unsafe cities in the world, from a total count of 60 cities in the world. With crimes against women, health problems, and infrastructure safety being the primary factors against which the safety of cities was measured, it was not a good day for our top metropolitan cities to be ranked this high on the list. So to feel a little better about ourselves, we decided to look at the cities in India that rank high on safety, according to the Crime In India statistics by the National Crime Record Bureau. Here are the places that we found, based on their ranking, as well as a popular opinion by people who have made the journey to the destination.

1. Munnar, Kerala
