The highlight of the Koffee With Karan Alia Bhatt episode, however, was when she opened up about her proposal. NGL, this was the moment that had us going totally weak in the knees!
Alia revealed that Ranbir Kapoor popped the question in the most romantic way and the actress was not anticipating it. She said that the two had decided to put the wedding plans on halt due to the pandemic and felt that they had to follow their gut instinct. It was then that Ranbir decided to ask Alia to marry her!
“He didn’t tell anyone. He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place. It’s a place that we both have such a strong connection with, which is Masai Mara. It was in the middle of the jungle and it was amazing”, she said.
Further adding to the story, Alia revealed, “After it was over, what I didn’t expect was that he planted our guide to take the pictures also!” Awww. Isn’t that the cutest proposal ever?
Alia also said that when she shared the engagement story with Ranveer, he had tears in his eyes! Not only did Ranveer get emotional, KJo said he too swelled up and had felt nothing but happiness for his little girl. “Listen, I just want to say that I am very happy for you,” Alia imitated Karan’s reaction after Alia broke the proposal news to him. Pssst… We also got to see a glimpse of her the ring in question!
