The importance of sex in a relationship cannot be underestimated. However, we’re firm believers of the fact that every couple makes their own rules and every relationship is different. But we were curious to know what do most women think about it and so we asked 5 women the importance of sex in their life and this is what they had to say.
1. Probably not the only important thing
Sex is important in a relationship, but not the only important thing there. It’s a great relationship builder, especially if you are just starting out. It also happens to be a great way to express your feelings for each other and how much you want to be with them. However, it can spell doom if sex is the only thing in the relationship.
2. Very important for a healthy companionship
Sex is one of the building blocks of a strong relationship. It is as important as emotional compatibility because both these aspects are required for healthy companionship.
Just like it tends to fall apart if it is based on just sex, it has a high probability of falling apart if there is little or no sexual compatibility. Sex is one of the basic human needs after food and shelter for a reason…
3. Makes you emotionally inseparable
Sex is not only about getting into bed with your partner. It creates a bond that you share with your partner which is not only physical but also mental and emotional. It creates a connection between two individuals which cannot be created otherwise. It also helps you learn a lot about your partner. Having said that, couples who are physically compatible will also be mentally and emotionally inseparable from each other.
4. You will always know them better
We are in a time when sex is not a big deal. However, having sex with someone who you have a mental connection with, definitely, is a different experience altogether. Which is why a sexual connection with your partner is very important. Not only to know them but also to make sure your relationship is perfect in every sense.
5. Sex has positive benefits
Sex has many positive benefits. Understanding these will help every couple recognise that sex in their relationship will only help them bond better. It will help them open up to each other in a better way and give them a deeper sense of intimacy. Whether this is a long-term relationship or one that’s just starting, sex is an important thing to consider for the overall betterment of any relationship.
