Dry, Oily, Damaged…? The BEST Hair Oils For Your Hair Type!
Oiling your hair should be an integral part of your hair care routine. Who wouldn’t want shiny, strong, lush locks? And just like you use shampoos and conditioners formulated especially for your hair type, so should your hair oil be one that suits YOUR strands. Find out what oil you should be using!
1. For Dry Hair: Argan Oil
In Morocco, argan oil is hailed as liquid gold, and with good reason too! This oil for dry hair works like a charm to repair frizzy and dull locks. It is full of fatty acids and vitamin E, which help make your hair smoother and glossier and also deal with split ends. If you have been struggling with dry locks, we suggest you take a bit of pure argan oil and rub it through your hair. You should also massage your scalp with it to promote healthier growth.
2. For Oily Scalp: Rosemary Oil Mixed With Jojoba Oil
Not all oils work on oily scalp and hair. A lot of them can end up making your hair look greasy and limp. A few drops of rosemary essential oil, however, when mixed with a carrier oil like jojoba or coconut, can be extremely beneficial for your oily scalp. Mix 4 to 5 drops of rosemary essential oil with two teaspoons of your base oil and use it to massage your scalp for 15 to 20 minutes. This will improve the health of your hair follicles and promote healthier hair growth.
Nut oils provide intensive treatments and macadamia oil is especially rich, making it perfect for damaged hair. If your hair has suffered due to heat styling and chemical treatments, replenish it with macadamia oil massages. Take some oil and heat it till it’s lukewarm and then apply it through the length of your hair. Wash it off with a moisturizing shampoo.
