Not Just Her Body, Palak Tiwari Also Exercises Her Hair!

Healthy hair is something every girl desires, no matter how long, short, straight, or curly her mane is. And like the body needs some kind of exercise to thrive, the hair’s no different and Palak Tiwari knows that. The 22-year-old actress who we last saw in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, delved into all that she does to keep her hair healthy.

One of her hair rituals was passed down by her grandma and Palak is one who does take her nani’s advice seriously.

What Hair Advice Did Palak’s Nani Pass Down?

In an interview where she shared all of her haircare secrets, Palak revealed that she doesn’t really take too much care of her hair! Since she’s lazy, the actress has one simple tip to share with anybody who wants healthy hair. “My nani says you should brush your hair even if there are no knots and even if you’re not going anywhere because it’s like exercise for your hair,” Tiwari said. She cautioned against brushing the hair too much though. “Every six hours is great,” she said adding that one shouldn’t overdo it with their hair.

Why This Works

While brushing the hair regularly does ensure it remains tangle and mess-free, brushing the hair twice every day does have more than one benefit.

Brushing the scalp also helps stimulate it, which encourages blood flow and hair regrowth. Think of it as a mini massage for your scalp.

When you run the brush or comb from the scalp to the tip, the oils produced by the scalp get naturally distributed through the lengths, giving the hair a glossy sheen.

When you’re brushing your wet hair, always apply a serum from the mid-length to the tip first. Then run your fingers through it to remove any knots, following which you should go in with a wide-tooth comb.

Whether you’re brushing wet or dry hair, always remember to start from the tip and move upwards using small brush strokes. This minimises hair breakage from the root.
