In two words – my mother! Till date, I have such vivid memories of her making such pretty clothes for me – anything from tiny rompers, frocks, scarves to even designing our home furnishings. So, even whilst at school, I had decided that I wanted to get into the fashion/ design world and follow in her footsteps, albeit whilst forming a very different form of expression!
Mom’s pink lipstick! Watching her get ready for special occasions and wanting to replicate her every move whilst getting ready for my birthday parties. In fact, I can even be seen holding that lipstick (more like chewing), in most of my old birthday pictures.
Mind over matter – my style is highly influenced by my state of mind, at the time! I like to keep it effortless, with a touch of personal flair and an offbeat factor. Comfort is also essential.
A friend of mine, Debjyoti (who is incidentally also my photographer), suggested that I upload a few pictures and start a blog. I did so, in the summer of my second year of college, but kept it hidden for quite sometime. And then, opportunity came knocking! There was an online styling competition, where people had to style themselves. I gave it a go and ended up winning the First Prize. That just gave me the confidence to continue with outfit posts. It’s been quite a journey since then.
Just be yourself.

It’s so weird – but I cannot think of anything, really.
Never say never! I have found myself trying things that, 2 years ago, I never thought I would.
Being content with your work, maybe?
Love.
Me at my best.
I HATE stepping out in the sunlight. It’s a nightmare!
My personal sense of drive that ensures I will never, ever give up!
I would like to stay me, and work on being the best version of myself that I could be!
I am quite excited, as POPxo is a platform where all the good things come together.
