Trigger warning: Bullying
As someone who has watched every single season of Bigg Boss, I find it fascinating to witness the contestants turn into better versions of themselves over the weeks. Sadly, that is not the case with everyone. Sometimes all it takes is time for people’s real colours to show and the same is happening with Sajid Khan in Bigg Boss 16.
When Sajid entered the house, he was ready to take control by playing the role of the ‘problem-solver’ or ‘mukhiya‘. While not everyone was on-board with his toxic brand of leadership, Sajid found a shortcut and formed his mandli. Today Sajid’s squad includes MC Stan, Nimrit Kaur, Sumbul Touqueer, Shiv Thakare and occasionally or according to convenience, Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot.
Unfortunately, these tactics have not helped him emerge as a leader. Here’s why he is looking like an entitled bully in the show:
Sajid’s Obsession With Priyanka

Barring Archana Gautam and Gori Nagori, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is the only housemate who hasn’t been swayed by Sajid. He has, of course, noticed it and isn’t too pleased with the actress. Consequently, every time Sajid sits with his mandli, he makes it a point to bring up Priyanka. The filmmaker tries his best to make her look bad and isn’t scared of lying to get his way. During a conversation with the Udaariyaan actress, the filmmaker told her that Ankit Gupta never uttered a word against Priyanka. Meanwhile, in a conversation with his mandli, he claimed that Pri is scared of him ‘coz Ankit has told him a lot of things about her. Which version is true, Sajid?
Sajid, Sexism, & Sumbul
During last month’s nomination task, Sajid asked MC Stan to save Sumbul over Nimrit as she cooks for them. He literally reduced Sumbul’s entire personality to her culinary skills. But it gets worse. We often spot Sajid guilt-tripping and gaslighting the Imlie actress to make her agree with his opinion. He has constantly belittled the actress by calling her a ‘bachchi‘ and questioning every single of her moves.

Sajid has been treating Abdu Rozik like a prop with no consideration for his feelings and opinions. Since Abdu’s re-entry, the Tajik singer has maintained a distance from the filmmaker. This isn’t sitting well with Sajid who has been trying to guilt-trip Abdu and feeding nonsense ideas into his head.

For someone with that holier-than-thou attitude, Sajid has surely twisted every rule of the house in his favour. As a task supervisor, he has used his powers to manipulate the outcome multiple times. That’s not all. During most of the tasks, Sajid is the least involved contestant unless there is an opportunity to bend the rules at his convenience.
NGL, we are glad that all of Sajid’s efforts to whitewash his image have pathetically failed in the Bigg Boss 16 house. Sajid Khan is a bully and that’s how we will always remember him!
