DIY Face Packs That Will Make Your Skin Brave The Heat Like A Pro!

Nothing feels better on my skin than a nice, COOLING face pack on a hot summer day. In fact I’ve put aside a couple of hours of all my summer weekends only for giving my skin some TLC with a good book and face mask. Thanks to my mother, I am a firm believer in using home ingredients on my face for that glow and flawless skin. Really, ladies, nothing works better than some good ol’ haldi from your kitchen or some of that papaya from your refrigerator. And because I love this so much, I’m going to share some DIY face packs with you that make my skin brave the heat like a pro, so that you can try them too!

1. Papaya Pulp Face Pack

Yes ladies, it’s as simple as that – some chilled papaya mash from your refrigerator. All you have to do it place a ripe papaya in your chiller. Once it’s cold enough, mash some of it and apply it all over your face and neck. Not only will it cool your skin, the enzymes in it will also slough off dead skin cells and make you feel and look so refreshed!

2. Cucumber And Sugar Face Pack

Not only is eating cucumber important on a hot summer day, but applying it too will have a cooling effect. Add a teaspoon of sugar to mashed slices of cold cucumber. Apply this paste on your face twice a week during the summer. This will keep oily skin in control and cool off any sort of heat rashes on your face.

3. Tomato And Curd Face Pack

Put some curd in muddled cold tomato until it has a paste-like consistency. Dab this all over your face using a cotton ball. Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes and wash off with cold water. This will remove dead skin cells, and give your face a healthy glow. Tomatoes also do a lot of good to oily skin.

4. Multani Mitti Face Pack

Nothing has a more cooling effect on the face than Fuller’s earth. Whenever you feel your face is acting up in this scorching heat, all your have to do is mix some multani mitti with rose water and apply it on your face and neck. Wait for it to dry and wash it off. This has a number of nutrients that give a healthy boost to the skin and cools it too.

5. Besan, Haldi and Curd Face Pack

Brides do this one because it’s actually THAT good! Besan cleanses the face well and the haldi acts on any rashes and tanning caused by the blazing sun. Curd has a cooling effect on the face and therefore, you must apply this face pack all through the summer and pamper your skin.  

6. Neem, Rose Water And Orange Face Pack

This combination is cleansing, rejuvenating and cooling too. Neem powder, rose water and muddled orange makes for a face pack that will be a treat for your skin in the scorching heat. It will hydrate your skin well and take care of any tanning too. For a paste-like consistency, you can also add some multani mitti in this combo.

7. Lemon And Honey Face Pack

How cooling is the sound of this? While the honey-lemon water is a must-have beverage in the summer, applying it on the face has its own benefits. Dab the combination on your face and neck and leave it on for 15-20 minutes before washing it off will cold water.
