Make Every Traffic Jam Count: 5-Minute Face Workouts You Can Do In Your Uber

Make Every Traffic Jam Count: 5-Minute Face Workouts You Can Do In Your Uber

Every morning, like clockwork, my boss pings me: “Aadrika, where are you?” My reply? Always the same: “Ugh, in traffic.” Seriously, if you live in a metro city, you know that traffic isn’t just a delay, it’s practically a lifestyle. I’ve got my whole morning routine down to a science in the back of a cab. Makeup? Check. Last sip of coffee? Check. Scrolling through emails? Double check. Your commute isn’t just a drive, it’s half your day, and I’m all about making the most of it.

One thing I’ve started doing in these two-hour rides is face yoga. I’ve been seeing a lot of reels about quick and easy face tutorials but I’m always too exhausted from my day to try them out when I’m home. If I’m spending so much time in the back of a car, I might as well just learn a new wellness skill. It’s been working pretty well, so here are a few quick and easy face yoga routines you can do in the back of your Uber, Ola, and if you’re really committed, the local!

5 Equipment-Free Face Yoga Tutorials I’ve Been Loving Lately

This routine, coined by @allyoucanface on Instagram is the easiest one on the list since it requires no products and you don’t even need to use your hands! She includes tips to tone your full face with minimal effort, and with only three steps it’s super easy to follow along.

Now I have really puffy eyes. So much so that, when I wake up in the morning it takes my face at least an hour or two to be a little…well, perceivable by the public. One de-puffing face workout I’ve been loving is this one by @roshinichopra. You will need an eye cream/moisturiser/oil for this one but I’ll link a travel-sized kit by Belif you can carry along.

One more good no-product face massage is this one 30-second routine by @beautyshamans. It naturally increases lymphatic movement which clears puffiness and fluid retention.

Next on the list, is a 3-step routine that starts from your eyes and moves to your forehead, then chin – a full face wakeup in three simple steps. It’s a face exercise routine by @reviverooms and a great one to have in your repertoire if you don’t want to rub your hands on your face too much.

Last and final, @allyoucanface also put up another routine but for your neck. They’re pretty easy to follow along and work on reducing your double chin and sculpting your jawline.

So there you have it, a few tutorials to transform your tedious cab into a mini wellness retreat. The next time you find yourself stuck in a sea of cars, remember, it’s not just a jam; it’s an opportunity! Trust me, your skin (and sanity) will thank you.
