Victoria Beckham’s Skincare Tips According To Her Facialist

David Beckham recently graced the houses of Mumbai celebrities on his trip to India, and can I just say that he’s been looking really, really good for a man of 48. Maybe it’s good genes, maybe it’s something more but today I am on a mission to figure out how the Beckhams look like they never age.

His wife, Victoria Beckham has been known to undergo some excruciating treatments like the Morpheus8 which is one of the most painful non-invasive needle treatments on the market. According to the Daily Mail, she does one every six months and I would recommend a few salons for you to try if it wasn’t for a whopping £700 (Rs. 72,386, approx.) Yeah, I know!

Instead, I’ve curated a list of routines and products recommended by her long-time facialist, Melanie Grant that should give you that Posh glow without burning a hole in your pockets.

Get Into a Routine, Then Follow It Religiously

“During the day, focus on prevention, starting with a gentle cleanser, followed by an antioxidant serum and an SPF,” says Grant in an interview with Porter.

The Cetaphil cleaner leaves skin squeaky clean, The Ordinary Vitamin C serum is one of the best in the business and the Organic Harvest SPF 60 sunscreen protects you from UV rays.

In the evening, Melanie who has been giving Posh Spice facials for years, says, “Begin with a double-cleanse, then apply an exfoliating or hydrating lotion, followed by a targeted treatment such as a retinol, and finish with a nourishing cream to lock in actives and support your skin’s own repairing processes while you sleep.”

Good Grease is an excellent way to double cleanse. The Re’equil Retinol Night Cream works wonders and the Suganda Calendula Oat Cream is an excellent moisturiser.

Ice Facials And Face Rollers For The Win

I know you’ve been seeing ice facials everywhere but there’s a reason it’s so mainstream. In an interview with Grazia, Beckham mentions how ice facials have been her go-to treatment for a puffy face. “I use a tip from aesthetician Melanie Grant, who has always given me great advice. I asked her what to do if you wake up with a puffy face, and she told me she dunks her face in a bowl of iced water. I also have one of those face rollers, so, if I’m feeling puffy, I use that – but normally, by the time I’ve had the cider vinegar, my hot water and a coffee, it’s all a lot better,” Mrs. Beckham said.

Enzyme Masks And LED Therapy

Now these are game-changers. Enzymes refer to natural proteins that break down debris like dead skin cells and dirt on the surface of your skin. Using one regularly keeps your pores clear and your skin glowing. “An enzyme mask or treatment is my go-to for fast results before an event. It’s that healthy glow you get after a sauna or workout, without having to go to the gym,” says Melanie.

LED therapy is a big yes, especially if you have acne or inflammation. It’s slightly on the more expensive side but if you buy one at home and use it regularly, you won’t have to keep going to the esthetician.

Consistency is key in this routine; with the right products and habits looking like a Beckham is relatively attainable and still affordable.
