Desi girls are notorious for their love of bold and bright colours. But, as much as we worship a heavy, in-your-face mix of colours, there’s a small part of us that deviates towards the pastel palette. Spring pastels were a big winner for many designers. Their use of these soft hues in power clothing, sarees and basics were not missed by our keen eyes.
These sombre, powdery hues not only transcend seasons by looking right at home with winter, spring and summer but they also look totally chic in a variety of our favourite fabrics (hint: satin!). This versatile colour can be taken from a summer afternoon lunch to a boozy formal event in the evening. Power suits are one of the best ways to do pastel. The plush suiting fabric combined with the muted delicate hues results in an ensemble fit for a stylish formal event. We are loving Twinkle Khanna’s fruity and youthful pastel mix in this suit she recently wore at an event!

2. Tonal Separates

One of the reasons we are championing for pastels to become your top priority this season is because of the fact that they look like a million bucks when combined with fancy ethnics, without trying too hard!
