Fashion search platform Lyst has just launched its annual The Year in Fashion list, which highlights the most-searched trends for each category including cult Instagram items, top colours and prints, jeans and footwear, and celebrity fashion influencer of the year. But what surprised us were the number one jeans and shoes style of 2017.
Turns out none of those breakthrough denim trends impressed you as much as your mom’s jeans did. She told you so, didn’t she?
Meanwhile, the top two positions in the most-searched shoes this year were pool slide sandals by Gucci and Givenchy. Sock boots by Balenciaga were just next in line. While chilly winters never call for pool slides, you can still wear your comfy jeans and stylish slides for your upcoming tropical vacation, knowing that these are the most popular trends of the year 2017.
