It’s almost been a month since we’ve been under lockdown and it’s no surprise that it’s making people impatient. Being quarantined in our homes is the only thing that can stop the coronavirus from spreading and everyone is coming up with interesting ways to make the most of this time. From housie nights on Zoom to brushing up their cooking skills and working out, everyone’s on a productivity spree! For those who’ve had to postpone their wedding date, the lockdown has given them even more time to plan their festivities and indulge in at-home beauty treatments for that glowing D-day skin. Well, we agree it’s not to be the best situation to be in but let’s try to see the positive bits. 

So, brides-to-be, while you’re stuck at home with not much to do, why not work on those eating habits. Here’s a list of superfoods that you must include in your diet for that natural glow.

Green Tea


We all know that green tea has multiple health benefits. It aids in boosting our metabolism and helps us cut down on the weight. But did you know that green tea has powerful antioxidants that nullify the damage caused by the sun to a great extent? Yep! Not only this, but it also helps in skin rejuvenation and regeneration so your acne and pimples have better chances of healing quickly if you’re consuming green tea.

Look carefully into the ingredients of your skin cream, 8/10 of them will have papaya as an active ingredient. Papaya contains fruit enzymes like chymopapain and papain that have multiple skin benefits. While chymopapain helps soothe skin inflammation, papain fades scars and blemishes.


Make sure that you include nuts in your diet. Nuts are loaded with vitamins and minerals including Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Magnesium and Zinc to name a few. But do not just stick to almonds. Eat cashews, pistachios and walnuts too. They are packed with good fats that will give your skin that extra glow. But remember that nuts should be eaten in limited quantities as they are high in calories too.

Are you pinching yourself? Well, don’t! It is true! Dark chocolates contain cocoa that has antioxidants and flavonoids, which help in diminishing stress hormones. Lesser stress means less collagen breakdown which means fewer wrinkles.
