Washing Your Hands Too Often? These DIY Masks Will Put The Moisture Back Into Your Hands!

Washing your hands as soon as you come in contact with another person, touching something that the other person gave you and after coming back home is highly recommended. Especially considering that more and more cases of Coronavirus are coming to light every day.

Fortunately, washing your hands eliminates the risk of the deadly virus spreading but it is slowly making your hands lose their moisture. Add to that all the household chores and cooking and most of us are left with dry, blistered hands. While there are a bunch of hand care products available in the market, we make things easier for you – these DIY hand masks will ensure that your hands are as soft as a baby’s 🍑.

Hand Masks To Keep Your Hands Soft

Let’s put back the moisture in your hands, shall we?

Aloe You

I saw this genius hand mask on beauty mogul Huda Kattan’s Insta page and tried it immediately! Yes, it most definitely works!

You’ll need:

– Scrub

– Plastic gloves

Step 1: Apply a coarse scrub, preferably a walnut or a sugar scrub on your hands.

Step 2: Wash it off and then peel off the fresh aloe vera gel from the leaf.

Step 3: Apply it all over your hands, put your hands in gloves or plastic bags for over 10 minutes.

Step 4: Wash your hands and apply a nice body oil to keep the moisture intact.

The Good ‘Ol Oatmeal

If you hate eating oats (I feel you), then you can definitely make use of them in another way, like making a hand mask.

You’ll need:

– 2 tbsp oats, preferably organic
– 5 Chamomile teabags
– 1 tbsp Corn Flour

Step 1: Boil the chamomile tea bags for a minute or two and let ’em cool down.

Step 2: Remove the tea bags and add your oats and cornflour in it.

Step 3: Keep stirring the mixture till everything is consistent.

Step 4: Massage the mask into your hands, wrap them in a plastic bag and keep them for 15-20 mins.

Hello, softness!

Avo Good Day

We all have a love-hate relationship with avocados but one thing is for sure, they are enriched with multiple skin and hair benefits. To make a DIY avocado hand mask,

You’ll need:

– 1 ripe avocado
– 2 tbsps honey
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– 2 teaspoons plain yoghurt
– 10 drops sandalwood oil

Step 1: Take an avocado and scoop it out in a bowl.

Step 2: Add all the remaining ingredients to it and mix it well.

Step 3: Pour the mixture in a blender to mix it further.

Step 4: Once the paste has formed, apply it to your hands and keep it on for half an hour.

Our life may be hard ‘coz of the quarantine but our hands, oh, they’re soft!
