5 Colourful & Yummy Smoothies That Will Brighten Up Your Day & Your Skin

Think about this: You would never need bronzer or highlighter to make you glow. Sure, makeup can make your skin a glow in minutes, but when you wipe it all off at the end of the day, you’re still stuck with unhappy, dull skin. During this lockdown period, focus on nursing your skin back to health. You don’t need expensive beauty products to get the job done, humble ingredients from your kitchen will make the cut. If you’re in no mood to make a DIY face pack from scratch… We’ll teach you how to drink your way to pretty skin.

5 Colourful & Yummy Smoothie Recipes

These smoothie recipes won’t only improve your skin’s complexion but also make you feel energetic and ready to take on the day!

1. Pumpkin Spice

Pumpkins are easily available in the market. The next time you go grocery shopping, make sure that you pick a chunk for yourself. Each slice is loaded vitamin A, C and E and is rich in antioxidants. If you have sensitive skin and often suffer from redness and itchiness, drink pumpkin juice as it contains zinc and potassium.

Step 1: In a blender, add 1 cup of chopped pumpkin cubes.

Step 2: Half a cup of yoghurt

Step 3: 2 tbsp of flaxseeds and a handful of ice cubes

Step 4: Turn on the blender and pour the smoothie into a strainer.

Step 5: Pour into a glass later and drink chilled.

2. Spinach Delight

Sure, paneer is more delicious than spinach, but palak loves your skin more. Spinach is a fantastic source of iron, Vitamin E, magnesium, Vitamin A, fibre, plant protein and Vitamin C. It will not only clear your skin out but also bring back a soft glow to dull and tired skin.

Step 1: Add 3 cups of spinach leaves and 1 cup of chilled milk into a blender. You could use any type of milk you consume – almond, soy or even regular milk works fine.

Step 2: Chop 1 banana into tiny pieces and add into the blender.

Step 3: Add half a cup of frozen berries (strawberries, mulberries, blueberries – whichever you have at home) and add 1 tbsp of chia seeds

Step 4: Turn on the blender and strain it.

Step 5: Serve chilled and enjoy!
