My makeup pouch is packed with lipsticks and lip balms! I love the feeling of having moist, plump lips. In fact, every bag I own has one lip balm in it! Some of them bought and some of them made from scratch using the raw ingredients lying around in my kitchen! (Remember my beetroot tinted balm recipe?) If you're feeling creative today, I suggest that you try making a flavoured lip balm at home. *Yummy ingredients included!*
Step 1: You'll need to place 1 tablespoon of shea and cocoa butter in a double boiler.
Step 2: Leave it to boil for 20 mins on slow flame.
Step 3: Add a teaspoon of coconut oil and a bit of beeswax to the mix.
Step 4: Use a toothpick to stir all ingredients well.
Step 5: Turn off the heat, leave the mix to cool for a minute and add 2 drops of honey, peppermint essential oil and cocoa powder.
Step 6: Pour the mix into a tube or tin and leave it to set for 3-4 hours.
The scent of lavender can send you on a dreamy trip. Imagine how amazing would it be if your balm were to smell of it, right? Add honey to the balm will also benefit women who have dry lips.

Very easy to make and you can use this balm as a gloss after applying your lipstick. It won't dry your lips, but make it smooth and nourished.
Step 1: You'll need to use a double boiler to heat coconut oil, beeswax and green tea infused oil.
Step 2: After 5 minutes, add honey and avocado oil.
Step 3: Transfer the mix to a container and leave it to set for about 5 hours.
Compared to warm vanilla, strawberry, grape and mint lip balms, finding an orange one is rare. The good news is that you can make it at home if you don't find it in stores.
Step 1: In a saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons of almond oil, a small chunk of beeswax and a large spoon of honey.
Step 2: Use a chopstick or a toothpick to stir all ingredients well.
Step 3: After 3 minutes, turn off the flame and add 15-20 drops of orange essential oil.
Step 4: Pour the mix into tins and leave it to set for 4 hours. Easy, right?
