9 Times Sonu Nigam Was The Voice Of Love For The ’90s Kids

Deewana tera… tujhe hi bulaye… ye marzi teri… tu aaye na aaye…

For ’90s kids, it’s impossible to imagine Bollywood music without Sonu Nigam. From teaching us life lessons like Kal Ho Naa Ho to giving us romantic songs like Saathiya to serenade our partners, the 45-year-old singer’s voice melts hearts.

Sonu started singing when he was four. He performed in a lot of films as a child, but his struggle began when he moved to the city of dreams and drama, Mumbai. He initially did covers of Mohammad Rafi songs. But his big break was not far. He hasn’t seen a low since he gave his voice to Yeh Dil Deewana in Pardes and today, he’s one of the most successful singers in the industry. Even though his mimicry, dilon ka scooter cover and stories in reality shows nowadays are as entertaining as his music, we still can’t help but feel nostalgic as soon as we hear his voice.

Come, let’s travel back in time with the birthday boy’s biggest hits from the good ol’ days.
