10 Budget Friendly Wedding Inspo You Can Take From These Celeb Shaadis!

Celeb weddings just like their movie sets turn out to be picture perfect. Whenever a star takes the plunge into marriage-hood, it seems as if their wedding too was designed by the art director working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I mean is it real life or reel life!?

While a lot of the times, celeb weddings are a star-studded gorgeous affair, there are a few noteworthy things that make the shaadis stand out. Little quirky touches, outfits and just the love and happiness makes it a fun-filled affair that it is. So today, we’re going to list down some ideas from these glam ceremonies that you can totes steal. Oh and don’t worry, you won’t have to sell your kidney for these!

1. Sonam and Anand Ahuja

The biggest Bolly wedding of 2018 was the #EverydayPhenomenal extravaganza. B-town took over our Insta with their drunken antics and boy was it a gala celebration. However, there were a few things that you could incorporate for your big day like an intimate mehendi ceremony for the bride and very close family at home, that way it’s comfy to get all your hands and feet adorned and even have great company to start the celebrations with. Also, Anand’s sneakers with his reception outfit was an A+ for sure. If you aren’t into shoes, get creative and break the norms to include your personal fashion into your D-day ensemble.

2. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli

The dreamy Tuscan Virushka wedding was one for the ages. While the entire ceremony looked like a large visually aesthetic Pinterest board, some ideas stood out more than others. Firstly, the basic limited people destination wedding. While not everyone can afford a European shaadi, there are equally gorgeous destinations to choose from. Keep the guest list limited and throw a reception for everyone once you’re back in India. Another thing from their wedding was the groom’s heartfelt song for his bride. While it’s common for the girl to dance and perform on her wedding, it’s a breath of fresh air when the guy does something special too.

3. Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover

This when all the monkey business started. Bipasha and Karan’s traditional Bengali ceremony and the glittery Bollywood reception was as exquisite as it could get. You can totally take inspiration from Bips’ mehendi hairdo- some beach waves and a flower crown because it’s always fun to be subtle yet be the star. Their really genuine wedding trailer filled with raw and real emotions too is #goals. But it was their hashtag that really took the cake- #MonkeyWedding, how cute!?

4. Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi

If you’re a couple who doesn’t like too much show-sha then this is the celeb wedding you’ll love the most. A quiet affair just with super close friends and family makes for a fun and cozy affair. You don’t have to shell a bomb or look after guests you don’t even know. What can you steal apart from the entire idea? Neha’s elegant and understated pink bridal look of course.

5. Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani

This couple’s wedding is our personal fave. A beach ceremony with the bride in white looking ultra radiant and a backdrop of an ocean sunset, what’s not to love? From boho-chic bride vibes to her chilled out happy demeanor, this dulhan was nailing the #BrideChilla groove. The ceremony was full of love, sincerity and style, oh yes, we’re all for it! Inspiration for your special day? The bride tribe photos and the relaxed atmosphere!

6. Amrita Puri and Imrun Sethi

This lavish Bangkok wedding was nothing short of a fairytale. The pictures paint a portrait of fun, crazy, drunken madness all roped into one heck of a grand affair. The ‘Aisha’ actress tied the knot in a traditional Sikh and Hindu ceremony and by golly, was it drop-dead-gorgeous?! Her wedding outfit was every girl’s Sabyasachi dream however, not all can afford that look. So we say you take note from the detailing of this wedding. They had little coasters for the guests with fun facts about the couple written on them and the entire function was a big pastel paradise. The colour palette and the bridal entry makes us believe in magic.

7. Sagarika Ghatke and Zaheer Khan

This Bollywood- cricketing duo really stayed true to themselves when it came to their big day. They invited only a few besties and family to attend their civil ceremony without the religious traditions. Though, in true tinsel town fashion, they did host fancy parties for the rest of the guests including a mehendi and a reception ceremony. Here’s what you can take for your D-day- Sagarika’s sophisticated red wedding saree– plain, elegant and breathtaking. And also her silver jewelry, who said brides only had to do gold?!

8. Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan

Talk about Bollywood royalty and just royalty in general. This union was what gave us the blessing that is Taimur. While obviously you can’t replicate the regal vibe that this wedding had, you can take inspiration for your ceremony. If we could steal one idea from this one it would have to be Bebo’s look. Instead of wearing the latest trendy outfit, she chose to take the sentimental route. She wore the same gharghra choli her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore wore for her wedding and you can totes do this, what a great memory to share!

9. Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech

Another tinsel town and cricketing match made in celeb heaven! These two looked quirky, fashionable and all things envy-worthy. Hazel wore an embellished saree and Yuvi looked as dapper as ever in a turban. While we’d like to steal the insane guest list at this wedding, we don’t think that’s possible. We love Hazel’s idea of coordinating her bridesmaid’s outfits, we can always incorporate things from other cultures that we love, can’t we?!

10. Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput

Shahid and Mira’s low-key wedding surprised everyone. The entire ceremony was a hush-hush deal as the duo wanted to maintain their privacy. They had a lavish reception in Mumbai for the industry peeps but it was their actual wedding that had us gushing. Mira’s accessories were something that caught our eye, the naulakha haar and paasa made a gorgeous combo.
