Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding festivities have been nothing short of SPECTACULAR, they lived up to the #EverydayPhenomenal tag so well and how! From their mehndi and wedding looks, everything has been gorgeous, ornate and traditional for the most part.
For their reception, they decided to take a different route and boy are we impressed! Sonam Kapoor decided to finally let her hair down, literally but I’m sorry Sonam, your hubby stole the show this time around. As gorgeous as she looks, what grabbed our attention were Anand Ahuja’s choice of footwear. Seeing him pair his dapper Raghavendra Rathore bandhgala with a pair of Nike sneakers was the highlight of our evening.

Sonam’s Look
As we mentioned earlier, after two days of ethnic braids laden with flowers and sleek buns Sonam finally decided it was time to let her hair down. Her sleek and straight mane looked amazing with her Anamika Khanna chevron patterned ensemble. We love the drape of her dupatta which is almost giving it a cape vibe. The colour and the pseudo-Aztec print is sombre as well, with a hint of metallics, ideal for the night function.
She’s paired her outfit with a classic red lip and winged eyeliner combo with a little bit of shimmer for added oomph. Minimal makeup has been a theme with her through the functions, and this is what makes her the perfect summer bride.

Anand’s Look
Anand is wearing a simple bandhgala in black and white complementing his newlywed wife to perfection. Just like the rest of his wedding outfits, this masterpiece was also by ace designer Raghavendra Rathore. Of course, the Nike sneakers are definitely going to make him the talk of the town (if he isn’t already, that is).
We are super duper glad that after the festivities all day, Sonam and Anand decided to go for a chill vibe at the reception. It’s been a helluva weekend, but it definitely has been one for the books!
