In today's dose of crazy, a video of two frogs getting married in an elaborate ceremony with custom-made clothes is making rounds on the internet. In a ritual called Mandooka Parinaya, the Udupi Nagarika Vedike or the Udupi Citizen Forum (UCF) tied the knot of two frogs with the help of the locals on Saturday, in hopes of bringing in the rain. The ceremony was held in Udupi, a city in Karnataka.

The video of their wedding has gone viral and members of UCF were quotes saying to the news agency that the two had a traditional Hindu ceremony. "The wedding of male frog "Varun" from Kalsanka and female frog namely "Varsha" from Keelinje near Kolagiri was performed as per the Hindu tradition," the members said. Hundreds of guests attended the wedding of these two frogs from different villages.
"To solve the massive water scarcity in Udupi district, prayers would be offered to the rain god, Sri Varuna, along with wedding of frogs (‘manduka kalyanotsava’). This episode will take place at Hotel Kediyoor in Udupi," the members told a leading newspaper.
The members shared that the frogs will now be sent to Mannapalla, near Manipal, for their honeymoon. While the frogs are off on a vacation, Twitter is firing up some hilarious responses to the wedding.
Truly, Incredible India!
