After a hush-hush court marriage in Feb ‘23, Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad took the OTT route for their shaadi celebrations. The couple went all out with a sufi night, holi-theme haldi, traditional mehndi function, and a grand reception. But the party didn’t end there. Fahad’s family just hosted a wedding reception for the newlywed couple in Bareilly.

Swara’s Breathtaking Outfit
It is Swara’s reception outfit that stole the show for me. The Veere Di Wedding actress wore a gold and beige heavily embellished lehenga choli set. It was designed and sent over by a Pakistan-based designer, Ali Xeeshan. Swara styled her look with a stunning maangtika, jhumkas, choker, and stack of bangles from Apala By Sumit.

Sharing the story behind her Walima outfit, Swara wrote on twitter, “My Walima outfit came all the way from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marvelled at the talent of #AliXeeshan #AliXeeshanTheatreStudio When I called him with an idea of wearing his work @ Walima, his warmth & generosity made me admire the person.”
She further added, “Ali Xeeshan not only sent Jodi outfits for @FahadZirarAhmad & me, but customised them painstakingly with personalised details & messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My sarhad-paar ki bestie @Natrani came to our rescue & enabled the outfits to reach Dubai.“
