Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta’s daughter, Ira Khan, registered her marriage with fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare on Wednesday. We say this because the videos are everywhere, especially considering the events unfolded in the most rare fashion.
Being a fitness trainer, Shikhare jogged from Santa Cruz with his squad and showed up at the Bandra venue sporting shorts and a vest for his marriage registration. Naturally, the video of him jogging went viral on social media and has courted hilarious reactions. Someone even mused whether his father-in-law pulled off the 3 Idiots chutney prank on him.

The couple reportedly registered their marriage at Mumbai’s Taj Ends. They pronounced each other as their lawful husband and wife.
Sometime during the registration, Ira hilariously announced on the mic that her groom would go and shower as the attendees hooted and cheered.
Later, the duo hosted a reception among family and friends. Yes, Shikhare did an outfit change and was seen wearing a sherwani.
The newlyweds posed with Aamir Khan and his family. The picture, including the actor and his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, is doing rounds on social media.
Ahead of the wedding registration, there were pre-wedding festivities. Shikhare shared a glimpse of the same on Instagram. There, Ira was seen wearing a red saree while he wore a red kurta. The couple looked supremely adorable.
Earlier in the day, Khan also shared their first picture after the marriage on her Instagram stories.
But this is not it. Apparently, it is reported that the couple will also have a grand royal destination wedding at the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, followed by a magnificent reception at the BKC Jio Center in Mumbai.
Given the adorable wedding celebration snippets, we can only imagine how beautiful the Udaipur ceremony would be like. Speaking of this, Ira herself shared the Udaipur wedding schedule online.
According to the schedule, there was a ‘Hi Tea’, followed by a welcome dinner on Sunday evening. The mehendi ceremony is due to happen on Monday, the 8th of January. There will also be a pyjama party on Monday night. This is followed by a sangeet ceremony on Tuesday, and finally, the grand wedding will take place on the 10th of January (Wednesday)
In a glimpse of the official marriage registration video shared online, Nupur revealed the reason why he jogged on D-Day. Apparently, the route holds an emotional significance to the couple. He said, “because from my house to Ira’s house, I used to run.”
