There are only a handful of shows that make it to our re-watch list. The Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2 is one of them. The web series has been receiving a lot of love for keeping it real and entertaining. However, a section of the netizens is not exactly satisfied. Boring, OTT, unnecessarily dramatic—they’re calling the show every name in the book. Tired of all the backlash, Neelam Kothari has now shared her two cents and we’re loving her badass reply!
“All I can say is that we have attempted something, and it has been successful. We put ourselves out there and kudos to us”, Neelam said in an interaction with a popular media platform. The actress further added, “Also, if you make a movie or a serial, you will have lovers and you will have haters. The same concept applies to this show as well. Some will love it, some will hate it”. Well, we totally agree with Neelam. When you open yourself to the public eye, criticism is inevitable and there’s no way you can please everybody.
However, it is not just the show that is being subjected to social media’s ire. Seema Sajdeh, who is a pivotal part of the series has also been heavily trolled. Netizens have been asking the fashion designer why she was still a part of the series when she is no longer a ‘Bollywood wife’.
Just like Neela, Seema too has a kickass reply for the haters.“I didn’t know women were defined by their husbands and their last name. Is that their only identity,” she says. Bravo! We’re proud of her for speaking up.
Though the series has not managed to escape all the hate, there is also a dedicated fan base who is obsessing over this Netflix show. And of course, it’s cuz’ of all the amazing women who owned the show!
