Our resident social media maven Palki Malhotra in conversation with Manasvi Jaitly, on her whirlwind wedding.
50 days. That’s the lead time I got from my father to plan, prepare and get wed. Akhikesh and I had been dating for 5 years before we tied the knot and dad was understandbly impatient! We chose Diggi palace in Jaipur for its vibrant ambience, large haveli rooms, good vibes and great photo ops (shhhh!) and Amer fort for its grandeur and hospitality. I shopped my trousseau in 3 days with the help of my bridesman (my male BFF acted bridesmaid)! Picture a credit card (with no limit) and a bride-to-be gone wild. Bright happy colours for all my outfits were a no brainer as I knew from the beginning that I would not wear red or maroon on my wedding day.

My wedding hashtag #PalkiAkhi and the wedding date was sewn on my Mehandi outfit. It’s my most treasured takeaway from our wedding.
My wedding functions were all in authentic Rajasthani taste, be it the decor, the food or the activities organized for the guests. But, despite how grand the functions were, they were all intimate ceremonies with just about 150 guests. The wedding truly was a memorable affair for us and our guests.
That was one amazing wedding, agreed? Here is a list of the people who helped Palki and Akhilesh make their wedding a grand and memorable event!
