We all have that one friend who has had her entire wedding mood board set right from when she was a little girl. Fashion blogger, Sonam Babani belongs to the tribe. Since her childhood, she knew that it was going to be a white wedding for her. In 2020, Sonam was all set to live her dream and marry the love of her life, Neil Sanghvi. Unfortunately, they had to postpone the wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic. The couple decided to wait until next year. In March 2021, we even showed you snippets from their viral flower shower mehendi. But by the time their D-day arrived, the second wave of the pandemic had already hit the country. Consequently, the couple had to wait for yet another year.
Guess what? Sonam and Neil are finally married! We just stumbled upon pictures from their gorgeous wedding and they are every bit worth the wait. The couple tied the knot last week and here’s a sneak peek of the beautiful ceremony:
Desi Wedding But Make It White
In 2019, Sonam went to Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla to finalise her lehenga. Back then, a beach wedding was on the cards. When that did not materialise, she decided to take it a notch higher and make it all-white. Sonam took the ceremony all the way to the Swiss Alps. The result? Breathtaking!
Sonam and Neil took their saat pheras amid the snow-clad mountains. The couple as wells as the guests were dressed in white. From the infusion of soft pastels to the floral details, the pictures are a sight to behold. TBH, even movies aren’t that pretty.
Both Sonam and Neil opted for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla outfits for the ceremony and we love how they complement each other. Decked with pearls, sequins, and soft pink resham embroidery, Sonam’s ivory lehenga featured a trailing hem. It was teamed with a heavy blouse that featured tasselled pearls as embellishments. Sonam opted for a white veil to finish the look. She kept it minimal in the jewellery department with LS Zaveri diamonds.
Neil joined his bride in an ivory sherwani from the designers that featured powder blue accents to subtly contrast with Sonam’s fit. We love how the outfits look stunning together. Here, check out some more pics from the couple’s fairytale wedding:
