Where there’s love, there’s a way. My heart is so full these days because even during these terribly tough times people are finding new ways to express love and affection. People are calling each other and checking up on others, people are getting married on balconies and people are even having virtual wedding functions! Making a gloomy time like this filled with love and happiness is such a blessing.
For some more amazing news, meet Deepali and Harsh who were supposed to get engaged on the 11th of April. Unfortunately due to the lockdown, they had to push the function to a later undecided date. But they didn’t let that get in the way of them having a total blast. Instead of sulking over it, Deepali decided to make this day special for both of them and improvised a virtual proposal for him.

The bride-to-be and her girlfriends choreographed the song that they were going to perform on for their engagement ceremony over a Zoom call and she popped the question. In fact, Deepali is a wedding planner at The Crimson Circle and because she’s been planning grand weddings for so long, she wanted hers to be a lowkey and intimate affair.
“When COVID decided to ruin our Engagement Day, I had to do something grand yet fun and cute and make it a day to remember. So my girl gang and I choreographed Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai – a song that is totally made for him. A 1000 WhatsApp messages, a few zoom call practices between the time zones of India, USA and Dubai, and hand-drawn red hearts later – we were ready to go”, said the beaming bride-to-be.
On the same day as was supposed to be their engagement, she sent a letter with the Zoom call details along with a cake that she had baked for him. Harsh got dressed and the Zoom call was played on the TV. With the help of her family and friends, Deepali pulled off the most epic virtual proposal ever.
This was hella cute!
They never got their actual engagement rings because of the lockdown but Deepali got a gold band of his size from a friend who is a jeweller and Harsh got her a whole lot of rings to choose from because he’s got a jewellery business of his own.

They even sent out Save The Date cards for their original wedding and then sent Unsave The Date cards to their guests for the engagement.
These two lovebirds have been best friends for the past ten years and have been through it all together. They finally started dating a year ago and in January their parents met to finalise the rishta. Guess, sometimes love is staring right at you and you just don’t know it.
Deepali and Harsh, you guys make an aww-dorable couple. Thank you for putting a smile on our faces today. Sending you virtual love and the best wishes for the years to come.
