The nationwide lockdown due to the novel coronavirus has sabotaged many wedding plans. While some couples went ahead and had intimate weddings just before the situation got worse, others had to postpone their D-day. One such couple is Gazal Bawa and Hemant Virmani.
Gazal and Hemant were supposed to get married on April 10 but they had to postpone their shaadi festivities due to the unfortunate COVID-19 outbreak. Well, we understand how heartbreaking that can be, but if you’ve got friends like theirs, you know you're super lucky. Despite the unexpected change of plans, their friends surprised the couple and cheered them up in the sweetest way ever.
They organised a virtual sangeet party. Yep, you read that right! Now if you’re wondering what it is, let us help you! The couple’s friends prepared a dance performance on a Punjabi song Na Dil De Pardesi Nu, dressed up in their traditional attires and performed it from their respective homes together on a Zoom call. So thoughtful, right?
Gaza posted the video of her friend’s performance on her Twitter handle and wrote, “Our friends threw us a #BawaMani Virtual Sangeet Party since our wedding couldn’t take place this weekend! Our hearts are full of love for these bums who made our day.” Check out the video:
Amazing, right? The couple may have an intimate wedding ceremony soon and a grand party once the coronavirus threat is over.
Meanwhile, the video went viral and even Twitter applauded the couple’s friends for their sweet gesture in these tough times.
BRB, gonna get my friends to watch this!
