The Best Mehendi Decor Ideas You Will Want To Bookmark For Your Function!

By now, anyone and everyone would be aware of the fact that weddings are a huge deal in our country, and rightly so. It's that one special day where it's all about you and don't you just love the attention! In the grand scheme of the big, fat Indian wedding, there is not just one function but several which precede the D-day, one being the Mehendi ceremony.

Keeping that in mind, we bring to you the 10 best Mehendi decor ideas, some better than the ones you have been daydreaming about since your bachpan.

1. Quirk things up!

Elephant motifs, patchwork carpets, pop coloured drapes and multi-coloured cots... Isn't this setup the stuff of dreams?! Swap the centre tables with trunks and vases with pickle jars for an offbeat appeal.

2. Indulge in the Lush Greens

Hosting an afternoon Mehendi party? Go outdoors and let the flourishing greens do their magic. Printed furnishings are all you need to make your venue look elegant and done-up.

3. Make Way For Flowers

A traditional decor is incomplete without flowers gracing the setting. Rose petals, gendas, and fun props are all you need. We're loving the floral umbrella that looks like just the accessory the bride needs to carry when making her entry.

4. A (Mostly) White Look

If you are someone who has always dreamt of an all-white setting for your mehendi, here's some inspiration! Cut-work jaals, Moroccan style seating and lanterns to add just a hint of colour.

5. Mirrorwork and Gold Accents for the Win

Inside Sonam and Anand's Mehendi ! The theme was unconventional. It was Offwhite and Mirror. We worked with intricate mirror embroidery from gujarat, crushed malmal drapes dyed in tea liquor, the ceiling was draped with mirror buntings, clusters of beautiful wicker baskets with waxflower bunches added softness to the couches and our most spectacular feature was the mirror picket fence running along the entire pathway. The space was covered with mirror walls inspired by Gujarat mirrorwork. The warmth was created by adding large champa trees and old hindi songs were projected on the walls to take you back in time. It was offbeat. It was grand. It was glamourous. It was special ❤ #everydayphenomenal #sonamkishaadi #ranipinkbride #ranipink2018 #ranipinkweddings #love #decor #itsallinthedetails #special @sonamkapoor @rheakapoor @anandahuja @kapoor.sunita

The planners who created magical spaces for Sonam K Ahuja's wedding are pros when it comes to unconventional setups. We're loving the mirror buntings, malmal drapes and mirror walls inspired by Gujarat.

6. Pale pink and Drapes

An outdoor setting with shamianas and pale pink colour scheme is just P-E-R-F-E-C-T. One look at it and we are sold.

7. Delve into Details

Make sure you don't overlook the details, even when your eyes are on the big picture. For a fun and colourful mehendi setup, think pinwheels and paper birds. Fun, no?!

8. Doing it The Minimal Way

If you prefer the minimal appeal, keep it fuss-free and let the outdoors play their charm. Do up the stage or seating area with twigs and branches to go with the nature theme.

9. Of Backgrounds and Lakes

We don't know of anyone who would say no to a setting like this, do you? If you're having a destination wedding, let the location take centre stage and keep the decor to a minimal.
