Love is sweet but who would have thought that it could be as sweet as a doughnut? Paige Kirk, a 23-year-old Australian bride decided to ditch the typical floral bouquets for some tasty treats on her wedding day. The blushing bride carried doughnut bouquets as she walked down the aisle to marry the love of her life.
She explained about this unique idea on an interview with BBC, “Me and my husband Steven thought it would be different, fun and light hearted.” When asked about the reactions from her guests and if she ever was tempted enough to eat them, she replied, “We had plenty of goodies beforehand, so we were too full to eat them! And yes, everyone thought it was hilarious. But I believe brides should be a bit more relaxed and have fun!”
The ‘doughnut bouquets’ were donated by Dessert Boxes to promote an alternative gift idea to flowers. Paige also became the first ever bride to carry decorated doughnut bouquets that also matched with her ivory white wedding gown. We love!
