When the song Channa Mereya from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil released, it not just elicited some tears in our eyes but Anushka Sharma gave us major #BrideGoals too. The actress wore a gorgeous Manish Malhotra lehenga that weighed close to 17kgs and she sure did full justice to the designer's creation. If we were to choose the most iconic bridal look from Bollywood so far, Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be on the top of our list.
Now here comes the best part. Meet the bride Farhat who was SO smitten by Anushka’s look that she decided to recreate it for her own wedding too.
Interestingly, it wasn’t Manish Malhotra who was behind the look but a super talented designer Sanya Mireya. She designed her lehenga in shades of red, pink, peach and gold with thread work on the choli and a dupatta with a trail, just like Anushka’s!
As far as makeup and hair are concerned, Farhat’s makeup artist did a flawless job. The super talented Amrit Kaur kept her eye makeup heavy with perfectly defined kohl eyes and used a light shade of lipstick to complete the look. Since the outfit was heavy, the artist opted for a simple hairstyle with a braided front. You can easily learn this crown braid hairstyle by watching this video here.
POPxo recommends some amazing products from Nyka to help you get the look. Use MAC Eye Shadow X9 Palette (Rs 3,400) top it off with M.A.C Cremesheen Glass lipgloss (Rs 1,800). Highlight with The Luminizers Trio Makeup Palette (Rs 1999) and you’re ready to shine. Also, you can easily learn to do your wedding makeup by watching this video here.
Anushka made a statement in the movie with her elaborate bridal jewellery. Needless to say, Farhat too opted for layered kundan necklace and polki nath. But what particularly caught our attention was the statement jhoomar.
For a royal bridal look, a jhoomer or passa is a must. Check out this kundan crystal and pearl chain paasa for that ideal look available on Pernia’s Pop-up Shop for Rs 8,300.
Now since we have decoded her look, we want you to have a look at these reel and real life brides and decide who nailed it better.
