Move over chrome, milky, and every other kind of mani, because aura nails have officially entered the chat, thanks to Khushi Kapoor. The Archies star whose nails are always on fleek, gave a soft-girl upgrade to the nail trend in a recent selfie she shared on her Instagram stories.
What Are Aura Nails?
Let’s first start with what an aura is. It is a philosophical belief that everybody has an energy field surrounding them. Each person’s energy field emits a different colour or aura. It is believed that one’s aura colour changes based on their emotional state, their feelings, and numerous other factors.
Aura nails are nothing but the colour of your aura painted on your nails, usually in a circular pattern right in the centre of your nail. This nail art style is usually ombre with the colour being the darkest in the centre and slowly fading towards the edges.
Basically, this nail art trend vibes with your personality.

In her selfie, Khushi was seen sporting the nail trend in a baby pink hue. This is an indication of her compassionate and nurturing personality, according to what the colour represents.
Most aura nails I’ve spotted on Instagram are too bright, loud and don’t fit with my minimal, soft girl vibe the way Khushi’s does. Nonetheless, I’ve scoured multiple nail artists’ pages to find inspo that’s just as minimal and elegant as Khushi’s for my next mani session.
