It’s been a year since Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot on February 7, 2023, in the presence of close friends and family in Rajasthan. While her wedding was a larger-than-life celebration, Kiara’s bridal look was as minimal as it gets!
From the DIY remedies she swears by for her skin, to the exercises that added to her pre-bridal glow – here’s everything you need to know if you want to be a bride like Kiara.
The Wedding
It was a three-day destination wedding. The festivities began on Feb 5 and went on till Feb 7, at the Suryagarh Palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Celebrities like Shahid and Mira Kapoor, Karan Johar, Isha Ambani, and Juhi Chawla were in attendance. Manish Malhotra designed the bride and groom’s outfits for their big day.
Kiara’s Pre-Bridal Glow
While heading to Jaisalmer, Kiara’s airport look was all about keeping it natural. Even with little-to-no makeup, Kiara was glowing and her cheeks bore a soft, flushed look. Her DIY besan face mask is one of the reasons behind this glow since it is known to promote even-toned skin.
Just mix one spoon of gram flour (besan) with 3 spoons of fresh cream or curd and apply it to your skin. I like to keep it on for 10 minutes or until it dries up and then rinse it with cold water.
Kiara’s Fitness Routine
For healthy skin, Kiara knows it is also important to have a healthy lifestyle. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actress is often seen exiting the gym in enviable athleisure. Her workout routine seems to oscillate from burpees with trainer Sohrab Khushrushahi to kickboxing with Lalit Gurung. Either way, sweating it out is key to healthy skin and I stan.
Kiara’s Bridal Makeup
Kiara’s bridal look was so subtle, she gave every other minimal bride a run for their money! Her go-to makeup artist, Lekha Gupta, worked around the Shershaah actress’ healthy skin and natural glow. To ape Kiara’s less-is-more makeup look,
Start With The Base

Fill In Your Brows

Choose The Right Blush
Kiara’s blush was blended so well, it didn’t seem like makeup! When I apply the peachy cream blush like SimplyNam’s Girl Next Door on the apples of my cheeks, it does the job perfectly.
And A Shimmer Eyeshadow
Any Sindhi wedding is incomplete without shimmer. Kiara’s eyeshadow featured a nude-brown matte base topped off with a soft shimmery eyeshadow. The Manish Malhotra 9 In 1 Eyeshadow Palette in Soiree has the perfect set of shades to recreate this look.
Curl Your Lashes & Give Them Volume
Perhaps the only bit of drama in Kiara’s look was her fluttery eyelashes. Curl your lashes and go over them with two coats of mascara for a volume like hers. I’ve never used a product better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.
Tint Your Lips
At par with her minimal glamm aesthetic, Kiara’s pout was as natural as it gets. Just a hint of gloss. The Frosting shade from the POPxo Makeup Lip Gloss – Glazed kit, is a tinted lip gloss that’s so close to Kiara’s lip colour!
Kiara’s Wedding Day Hair
A slicked-back bun was Kiara’s choice of hairstyle for her wedding. Celebrity hairstylist Amit Thakur pulled her centre-parted hair into a neat bun and added red flowers that matched the red border of her veil.
Kiara’s Post-Wedding Look
Following their wedding, Sid and Kiara twinned in red Manish Malhotra outfits as they left for Delhi. The newlywed kept up with the minimal aesthetic and pulled off a look that can be achieved with only three products! Here’s how:
Ace The Base

Kiara’s Bollywood Reception
Sid and Kiara threw a lavish reception in Mumbai for their industry friends. In attendance were Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Kajol and Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Ananya Panday, Ranveer Singh, Abhishek Bachchan and more A-listers.
Kiara and Sid wore custom Manish Malhotra outfits for their reception as well. And this time around, Kiara’s look was much bolder than her wedding! A bold eyeliner highlighted her eyes and pastel pink lips along with a slicked-back bun rounded off this look. Here’s how I recreated her look under 3k!
I can’t wait to see if Kiara mirrors her minimal aesthetic for her Delhi and Mumbai receptions as well. No matter what the look is, I’ll keep a record of it here!
