While Anushka, Alia and Athiya opted for a minimal makeup look on their wedding day, Kiara’s bridal look is the most subtle one I’ve seen so far. I never imagined that so little makeup could look so good on a bride.
Her barely-there makeup really has me excited because I know I can recreate it easily. TBH, while some of you were betting on Kiara being the OTT bride, I was sure she would play it low-key.
Here are 4 elements in Kiara’s bridal look that prove she’s as minimal as it gets.
Her Makeup, Of Course
Kiara’s makeup is possibly the most subtle bridal makeup look we’ve ever seen on a celebrity. You can barely tell she’s wearing any makeup. Notice the barely-there blush & contour? I mean even her lipstick is so subtle, it almost looks like a tinted lip balm. PS, her makeup is not dewy – is she bringing matte makeup back in trend?
The Simple Floral Bun
Remember when we went gaga over Alia’s soft waves because they were so au naturel? I found Kiara’s quintessential bridal bun a step ahead of that. No frills, no jazz. Just a traditional hair bun with a couple of flowers tucked in.
That Barely-There Manicure
I’m a big Bollywood buff & I had bet on Kiara’s manicure being minimal. Well, I won the bet and my friend owes me a pizza. Her barely-there nude polish compliments her skin tone and outfit perfectly.
The Mehendi Peeking Through
Okay, so makeup usually complements an outfit and Kiara’s makeup is very much in sync with the whole vibe of her wedding. But did you notice her mehndi was subtle and light too? Buh-bye, full-hand mehndi designs that take forever to dry and outshine your outfit and jewellery. Kiara carved the path for minimal mehndi and I stan.
