With nail-biting moments and unnerving stunts, the show is a favourite of all adventure junkies looking for some adrenaline rush but from a distance. Who’d want to eat lizards or tackles worms while being hung from a cliff, right?
What adds to the thrill is the host Rohit Shetty. He motivates contestants to put their best foot forward and schools them when they goof up.
Season 9 has been quite a rage as it has had very popular faces as contestants including Vikas Gupta, Shamita Shetty, Bharti Singh and husband Harsh Limbachiyaa, Aditya Narayan, Avika Gor, and Sreesanth.

Recently, something very shocking and unexpected happened on the show. One of the top performers, Vikas Gupta, got eliminated.
In a recent episode, Rohit Shetty and Vikas Gupta had a heated argument. Rohit yelled at Vikas for taking painkillers due to his shoulder injury without informing the makers of the show about the same. And the verdict was, Vikas got disqualified and eliminated from the show.
In an interaction with a leading daily, he defended himself, saying, “I have been suffering from a shoulder injury for more than two years now. During the helicopter jump stunt, I aggravated the nerve pain again and I was taking painkillers to subdue the pain in the nerves and I didn’t inform the team of Fear Factor about the injury. The painkillers also increase your heart rate, which while doing stunts can even go higher resulting in major health risks, which even I wasn’t aware of. Yes, I was disqualified from the show and rightfully so. It was a stupid thing to hide the injury. With the telecast, I am hearing another round of reprimanding from my mom all over again.”
The producer/anchor had been a great performer and was appreciated by both Rohit Shetty and fellow contestants. He was a tough competitor and proved how headstrong he was during the tasks.
In a light-hearted moment, Bharti’s attempt to romance Rohit Shetty left all the contestants in splits. What was funnier is Rohit’s reaction to that. He said, “Ab Haarsh eliminate ho gaya toh tu yeh sab karegi?”
