Bollywood had one helluva Saturday night yesterday. No, Karan Johar didn’t throw another party but B-town gave us a fresh, new perspective on Karva Chauth celebrations and we are in awe. Of course, we are talking about Ayushmann Khurrana and the recently married Sonam Kapoor Ahuja who broke tradition and won our hearts.
Mrs Ahuja took to Instagram and posted a picture of herself with Anand Ahuja telling us all how the couple celebrated “KC” for the first time and you have to see this.
Sonam Kapoor didn’t keep a fast on her very first Karva Chauth and has her husband to thank for “bullying” her into it. To this, Anand has an intelligent response in his defence saying he suggested that either they could fast together or they could “just walk around and workout and enjoy the day together!”. Our second favourite part about the Ahujas’ cute PDA in the comment section of Instagram is when Anand says “I’m fasting if you’re fasting”. They are indeed an ‘everyday’ phenomenal couple in all meaning of the word.

… is Sonam’s comment which is SO RELATABLE! Men do get cranky when they are hungry. Just think of all the times your husband or boyfriend was hungry and all the crankiness will come screaming back to you. How cute, Sonam!
The next B-towner to steal the moonlight last night is Ayushmann Khurrana.
Since his wife, Tahira Kashyap, is undergoing a treatment for breast cancer, she couldn’t keep a fast. So, Ayushmann kept a fast for Tahira praying “for her good health and long life” and the internet just went nuts with the sweet gesture.
He even had the letter ‘T’ Mehendi-ed in Hindi on his palm keeping in tune with the tradition. Sweet, isn’t it?
Tahira posted a fun boomerang of herself doing a dupatta flip in a gorgeous pink suit.
