Our OG Desi Girl aka Priyanka Chopra and her beau Nick Jonas tied the knot in what we might rightfully call the wedding of the year. Nick and PC got married at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur over the weekend and the functions were nothing short of a spectacle.
A bright, bubbly and colourful mehendi function followed by a Sangeet function that was no less than an IIFA Award night! Our Desi Girl left no stone unturned. With performances that lasted 4 hours, the #NickYanka celebrations were old school Bollywood grandeur at its best.
Back in 2008, in the movie Dostana, the song Desi Girl brought PC into the limelight. Priyanka completely blew our minds away in a sizzling shimmery saree and a backless blouse. Since then she’s been fondly referred to as the Desi Girl. Since 2008, PC’s career might have hit Desi and Videsi screens (with a bang) but she hasn’t forgotten her roots. For her Sangeet night, PC wore a saree inspired by the OG Desi Girl song. She wore a silver and gold, shimmering saree designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

We can only imagine the hangover that followed the grand Sangeet! And that’s not it, Mama Jonas gave PC a gift every daughter-in-law could only dream of!
