Priyanka Chopra’s wedding with Nick Jonas was all things grand. We weren’t really surprised by all the OTT things that happened at the wedding. From booking out Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur to a custom Ralph Lauren with a 75-meter trail to the majestic necklace she wore for her Indian wedding made of uncut diamonds and pearls, they left no stone unturned to make it a royal wedding to remember.
But, if there is one person who has really benefitted from this wedding, it’s Parineeti Chopra. She took full advantage of the fact that joota chhupai is such an important custom in Indian weddings. For the uninitiated, in the joota chhupai, the bride’s sisters and friends steal the groom’s shoes and ask for money to return it. From what we’d heard previously, Parineeti had asked for USD$5Million from jiju. Looks like Nick didn’t disappoint his beloved saali at all. Here’s what Parineeti tweeted!
