This season of Kasautii Zindagii Kay has more drama than any Indian other soap opera. Or so it seems. Hina Khan, who gained popularity as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai brought light to the iconic role of Komolika. She hasn’t even left the show yet (starting April she is going on a sabbatical for four to five months) and we already have a few celebrities eyeing her role.

While Hina gave a statement confirming her break (and not exit) from the show, reports say that Ekta Kapoor, the show’s producer, is considering other actresses to replace her. Whether this new actress will be filling in for Hina until her return or permanently replacing her, one thing is for sure – Ms Khan will be missed by her fans a lot.

Who do you think can do justice to the character after Hina?
In a recent interview for a popular media, Hina Khan spoke about her upcoming projects and said, “So far so good, people are loving my character, Komolika, and yeah it is a new phase of my life, a new character, a new beginning, but none the less there are a lot of things happening. Plus, I have shot for a feature film and I also have a couple of projects coming up, a couple of films so I don’t know how am I going to do it so I am a little nervous and a little worried.“
Hina is working on a film with popular actress Farida Jalal and that is the extent of information the actress has shared with her fans about her upcoming projects.

She posted the picture on Instagram and wrote, “She’s not just a veteran star but also a creative powerhouse and Bollywood’s encyclopaedia. Oh but her sassy, sweet attitude keeps us entertained on the sets. Such a lifetime worth of experience and a complete privilege it is to work with dear Farida Ji.”
