We’re sad, we’re hurt, in fact, we’re heartbroken! Team India lost to New Zealand yesterday in the semi-final and we are not able to get over it. NZ beat India with 18 runs and secured their place in the finals.
Team India lost three wickets that of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and K L Rahul in the first five overs and we couldn’t believe our eyes. All hope was lost until former captain M S Dhoni walked onto the field. Another player who got us back in the game was Ravindra Jadeja. He scored 77 runs in 54 balls. Dhoni and Jaddu’s partnership got our hopes up, Dhoni and Jadeja added over 100 runs for the seventh wicket to keep India in the chase, they played out of their skins to keep India in the chase. And we went through quite a lot of nail-biting moments. All was going well until Jadeja got caught out. Our world came crashing down when Dhoni got run out. That was the moment we knew we’ve lost the match.
Nonetheless, it was a gripping match and well, we saw some great fielding and bowling by New Zealand. Hard luck, India. But, we continue to love you and will always bleed blue.
