It was only a few weeks ago that we were coming to terms with a candle that smells like a vagina. While we’re still recovering from that, the internet has been hit with another bizarre trend. This time, it’s penis-themed nail art. No, this is not a prank.
Now, before you roll your eyes, it is important to note that this *unique* art has a heartwarming story behind it. Through the giggle-inducing art, social worker Heather Hampton aimed to make her HIV positive clients have a silly laugh. According to Donne Geer, the artist behind the nail art who Heather collaborated with, it served as a ‘fun distraction; for the clients as well as the artist.
“They’re able to joke around with Heather about it and make a hard situation feel a little lighter,” she said. As far as the nails as concerned, we invite you to feast your eyes–or cringe–whichever works for you!
Heather and Donne started working on this project together back in 2018, and we definitely think this is a–err–rather unique way of bringing a smile upon a person who is HIV-positive. And while I LOVE some creative nail art, I’m not sure my boss would approve of testicles wearing Christmas hats on my nails.
