No one escapes the spotlight on Karan Johar’s talk show, Koffee With Karan, especially if you are a special guest on the show and a dear friend of the director. The latest guest to get caught in the glare was actress Malaika Arora.
In last night’s episode of Koffee With Karan, host Karan dropped hinted at Malaika’s marriage with Arjun Kapoor. The Chaiyya Chaiyya star joined Karan and Aamir Khan for a special rapid-fire segment. Since Aamir was the only guest for the evening, Karan decided to battle it out with him for the coveted gift hamper with Malaika playing the role of the quiz-master.
As the actress walked on stage, Karan and Aamir reached out to help her down the stairs. Malaika thanked them for their chivalry and jokingly said that it looked like the three of them were going to break into an impromptu dance. Karan wittily replied, “We are walking down the aisle… that will also happen in your life soon enough.” Malaika, meanwhile, did not react to his statement and laughingly brushed it aside.
This wasn’t the first time Karan teased Malaika about her rumoured relationship with Arjun Kapoor. The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director had earlier asked Malaika on a reality show if her red dress was a stop sign for someone. Malaika replied saying that she wasn’t trying to stop anyone, to which Karan added that she was surely trying to start something in that case.
Karan had also joked around with Arjun during a celebrity Diwali bash. He was spotted with Veere Di Wedding actress Swara Bhaskar with Arjun standing behind them. Karan then teased him about being ‘the man’ and photo-bombing and them. He quickly turned the camera away without giving a smiling Arjun the chance to respond.
Bollywood has been gripped with wedding fever lately. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are about to tie the knot in less than ten days, while Priyanka Chopra is also getting ready for her wedding with Nick Jonas and recently celebrated her bachelorette party in Amsterdam.
Meanwhile, we have been hearing the rumours of Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor’s wedding ever since they were spotted together at an airport. Although nothing has been confirmed yet, the actors haven’t denied the speculations either.
