Indian sprinter Hima Das, aka Dhing Express, is relentless as she puts another feather in her cap and brings glory to the country yet again. Recently, Hima won a gold in women's 300m race at the Athleticky Mitink Reiter event in the Czech Republic. This was Hima's sixth gold in European races since July 2nd.
In her first competitive 200m race of the year on July 2nd, the 19-year-old sprint runner clocked 23.65 seconds and won her first gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland. Following this, she won her second 200 m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet on July 7 by clocking 23.97 seconds. Hima bagged her third gold on July 13 at the Kladno Athletics Meet with a time of 23.43 seconds. She was the recipient of her fourth gold followed at the Tabor Athletics Meet on July 20 in Prague. Despite her multiple achievements, Hima has been unstoppable. She stormed to claim her fifth gold, clocking 52.09 seconds as Hima returned to her pet 400m competition in Nove Mesto.
After bagging her sixth gold at the Czech Republic, Hima tweeted, "Finished on the top in 300 m in the Athleticky Mitink Reiter 2019 today in the Czech Republic."
Hima's focus will now shift to World Championships next month. The World Championships are scheduled to be held in Doha from September 28 till October 6. We hope that Hima's winning streak continues!
Along with Hima, Indian sprinter Muhammed Anas also won a gold in men's 300m race at the Athleticky Mitink Reiter event. Muhammed is a national record holder and has already qualified for the 400m event for the World Championships that will be held in Doha.
