We were still recovering from the lavish pre-wedding celebrations of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal over the last weekend in Jodhpur when the pictures from the wedding celebration at Antilia started making their way on social media. The Ambani heiress’s wedding is being touted as the biggest shaadi of the year with the family spending almost 740 crores on the arrangements.
The 1,500 something guestlist includes B-town A-listers, business tycoons, politicians and sportspersons. Former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, too attended the Udaipur functions and was even seen at the wedding ceremony at Antilia earlier this afternoon. Add to it the stunning performance by Queen B! Only Mukesh Ambani could’ve made that possible for his darling daughter Isha Ambani.
Now, coming to point! The entire wedding has apparently cost the Ambanis a whopping 740 crores. Sources revealed that Beyoncé charged $2million for the performance. That’s Rs 14,38,80,000 approximately. A report stated that people familiar with planning have estimated a $100million ballpark for the entire wedding, that’s Rs 7,17,90,00,000 approximately.
As per the reports, Piramals and Ambanis have booked five 5-star hotels to accommodate the long list of VIP guests. A thousand luxury cars including BMWs, Audis, Jaguars, Porsches have been arranged for the guests’ convenience. If that wasn’t rich enough, the family even arranged for more than thirty chartered planes to fly guests to Udaipur for the pre-wedding ceremonies.
Adding to the cost are the gold-plated wedding invitations, each costing 3 lakhs. Whattt???!! Rumour has it that Isha Ambani’s bridal lehenga alone costs Rs 90 crores and don’t even get us started on her stunning diamond-studded accessories and jewellery.
After the wedding, the newlyweds will be shifting into a massive 450 crore mansion. Phew! That’s just too many big figures to deal with. For now, let’s just go back to swooning over the gorgeous pictures, shall we?
