A lot of upcoming films sound promising, but it’s Jee Le Zaraa that we’re really excited about. Farhan Akhtar surprised us with the announcement of the project in August last year and we’ve been waiting for more updates ever since. The movie has an impressive star cast featuring Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra. And just last week, we told you guys about the possibility of Vicky Kaushal starring opposite Katrina, and Farhan being paired with Priyanka. We were really looking forward to an official announcement, however, it looks like that might not be happening at all.
The latest buzz is that Priyanka might opt out of the film as she wants to focus on her baby. Multiple reports suggest that Farhan and producer, Ritesh Sidhwani, are exploring the idea of replacing Priyanka in the movie. Oh no!
Earlier, when Priyanka had shared the official announcement of being a part of the project on Insta, she’d mentioned that she was looking forward to doing a Bollywood movie, but was waiting for the right script. She wrote, “It had to be the right one – different, cool, never been done before… I thought. The idea grew into a movie helmed by an all-female cast. There are not enough Hindi movies that are female multi-starrers. This led to an impulsive phone call… to my 2 real friends about this idea that involved 3 on-screen girlfriends. A celebration of friendship we called it.”
TBH, we really can’t imagine a better trio than Priyanka, Katrina and Alia. And we were also excited to watch PeeCee and Farhan reunite on the silver screen. Here’s hoping these rumours are baseless and that the Aitraaz actress gives us a much-needed update ASAP!
