Ingredients

  • 1 raw mango
  • 3 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder

How To Make It

  1. Add the raw mango and two cups of water to a pressure cooker and cook for 5 whistles.
  2. Let the cooked mango cool and then peel off the skin.
  3. Scrape the pulp of the mango from the seed and skin and transfer it to a blender
  4. Add the mint leaves, sugar, cardamom powder, cumin powder, salt, and pepper to the blender as well and blend to make a spiced mango paste.
  5. Store this spiced mango concentrate in the fridge as it will come for many servings.
  6. To make the aam panna drink, add one tablespoon of the concentrate to a glass with ice cubes and chilled water.
  7. Stir it to mix the water and concentrate and drink up daily.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 5 strawberries or raspberries
  • 2 cups of water or soda

How To Make It

  1. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar to a saucepan and simmer it on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the lemon zest and cook for 5 minutes; turn off the heat when the syrup has reduced and let it cool.
  3. Strain the lemon syrup through a sieve.
  4. Blend the strawberries in a blender and then strain them with the sieve into the bowl with lemon syrup.
  5. Strain the lemon juice into the same bowl as well.
  6. Stir these liquids together and store them in a container in the fridge.
  7. To serve, take a tablespoon of this pink lemonade syrup and mix it with chilled water or club soda for one glass.
