Katrina Kaif’s Skincare DIY Is Good Enough To Eat

Katrina Kaif’s no-nonsense policy in life applies to her DIYs too. They’re as straightforward as she is. On lazy days, I turn to her recipes for the skin. Because they’re so simple to recreate. That’s why, when I recently discovered a 2-ingredient DIY of hers, I held onto it. Nothing’s more uncomplicated yet effective as this one. Scroll on to find out more!

Katrina’s recipe includes:

  • Honey
  • Oatmeal

That’s it. All you have to do is mix the two together and apply it to your face. But how do they benefit the skin anyway? It’s time to find out.

Oatmeal

Oatmeal excels at unclogging the pores and exfoliating the skin for a healthier, more radiant complexion. It moisturises from the inside out and soothes inflammation thanks to Vitamin E which treats dryness, itchiness, and conditions like eczema naturally. It is also packed with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Another fact about oatmeal, is that it can cleanse the skin because it contains a group of carbohydrates called saponins that allow it to do so without stripping the skin of its oils. And since it boosts the production of collagen, it makes your skin look firm and youthful!

Honey

Think of honey as your free-of-cost moisturiser. Since it’s a humectant, it attracts and infuses your skin with moisture, ensuring that it is well-hydrated at all times. It also relieves dullness and dryness effectively and induces an au naturel glow on the face. Since it’s anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, it treats inflammation, redness, and acne safely and naturally. It has anti-ageing abilities too since it’s chock-full of antioxidants that diminish lines, wrinkles, and other signs of ageing.

See? No wonder Kat loves this DIY!
