South Indian actress Niharika Konidela recently got married to the love of her life, Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, at Udaipur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace. Her gorgeous wedding pictures have recently taken over our social media feeds and we can’t stop gushing over her outfits.
Out of all her wedding looks, one outfit that caught our attention was a beautiful drape that she wore for one of the ceremonies. Niharika chose her mother’s 32-year-old Benarsi silk saree with a rich gold border for one of the wedding functions and the look turned out to be every bit gorgeous. She also shared a collage of her look along with a picture of her mother wearing the same saree back in the day. This south Indian bride not only gave us tips on how to add an emotional touch to the wedding looks but also gave us an important lesson in sustainability. Take a look:
She Aced Her Hair & Makeup Too!
Niharika paired the saree with a jewel-toned blouse and accessorised the look with some traditional temple jewellery. And her gorgeous mangtikka held her entire look together. She styled her hair in a messy braid and accessorised it with fresh flowers.
The father of the bride could not hold back as she donned her mother’s engagement saree and posted a comment on the picture that read, “My wife looks pretty but my niha thalli looks like an angel.”
Niharika Konidela kept her makeup subtle and natural. She wore a light brown eye shadow along with a thin stroke of eyeliner. She went on to add a pop of colour to her look with a bright plum pink shade of lipstick.
The Sangeet Ceremony
Niharika wore a Shantanu Nikhil cocktail gown for her sangeet ceremony while her husband-to-be looked dapper in a white embellished sherwani. Niharika’s sangeet outfit had a ruffled neckline and she paired it with a beautiful statement choker and matching earrings as well as a cocktail ring that would definitely catch your attention. The Haldi Ceremony
If Niharika and Chaitanya’s pre-wedding shoot pictures weren’t enough proof of the couple being water babies, their Haldi ceremony pictures made it pretty obvious. The couple was twinning and winning at their Haldi ceremony. Niharika wore a plain yellow saree and amped up the style quotient with a contrasting embroidered white blouse and Chaitanya wore a yellow kurta. She chose to wear oxidized jhumkis with a matching necklace and bangles that really lifted the entire look.
Her mehendi look was no less and made heads turn. Niharika wore a pretty pink printed lehenga, which was a bold choice. The groom clearly wasn’t going to stand back and watch. Chaitanya too went on to coordinate his outfit with his to-be-wife by wearing a similar printed nehru jacket in yellow colour. Coordinating outfits seems to be this couple’s strong suit!
