Celebrity fitness coach Pranit Shilimkar recently tied the knot with the love of his life, Mihira Joshi and every single detail about their wedding gave us some solid Bajirao Mastani feels. Seriously, we kid you not! With traditional decor, vibrant hues, and gorgeous Peshwai outfits at the heart of their intimate wedding, we couldn’t help but absolutely fall in love with the jubilant couple. We are anyway suckers for weddings inspired by a regional touch and this stood out to us for exactly the same reason.
A quick look at their wedding pictures and you’d actually feel like they are straight out of a Bollywood set. Yup, that Perfect! We are mighty impressed, to say the least, and here’s everything that we loved about the wedding:
The Peshwai Outfits
We’d have to give it to both the bride and the groom for nailing it in the outfit department. And we don’t say this often, but it is the groom who is really stealing the show here with his kalidaar kurta and dhoti outfit. You’d have to dig into the details to really admire the opulence of his outfit. From the groom’s velvet stole to the contrasting Marathi silk border, the outfit surely has been done with a lot of attention to detail. That said, it has to be the Pehswai topi that’s really lifting the outfit for us and certainly reminding us of Ranveer Singh’s character from his period drama.
But this is not to say that the bride lacked in the costume department. In fact, dressed up in her maroon-iris blue nuavari, she is a quintessential Marathi bride who looks every bit like a dream. Attention to details is clearly this couple’s strong suit and the Peshwai drape of Mihira’s saree done to perfection vouches for it.
But wait, there’s someone else here who deserves some credit too: Mihira’s MUA! I mean, doesn’t she look like an absolute doll in that flattering hairdo and mulberry lips? Love the lip shade? You gotta try these:
The Floral Decor
Gotta give credit where it’s due and that’s why we need to talk about the breathtaking venue and its floral decor. The couple got married at Dhepe Wada Heritage Home in Pune and you gotta pause at the pictures just to soak in the traditional vibe of this beautiful venue. Also, don’t miss out on the intricate floral details further accentuated by thread tassels. The decor has been done by Tanzy Flowrence and Events and we gotta say that they have done a mighty good job!
