Did Kajal Aggarwal Win Wedding Season 2020 With Her Stellar Wardrobe? She Sure Did!

Did Kajal Aggarwal Win Wedding Season 2020 With Her Stellar Wardrobe? She Sure Did!

Now, it might be too soon to call it but we are pretty sure that Kajal Aggarwal has won the wedding season 2020 and right from her statement mathapatti to the ivory reception outfit, every single detail accounts in here. Kajal Aggarwal and Gautam Kitchlu tied the knot this weekend in what turned out to be a gorgeous confluence of a Punjabi and Kashmiri wedding. Given the current pandemic situation, the two opted for a close-knit event at The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai. And intimate as the wedding might have been, the couple really did manage to stun us with their wardrobe, Kajal’s spectacular outfits in particular. Here’s everything that we liked about her wedding wardrobe:

Rad Red: A Phenomenon Into Making

Instagram

Remember when Anushka Sharma broke the internet in her blush pink Sabyasachi and that radiant smile? Of course, you do. The pastel hue really did disrupt the bridal palette adding an array of muted pinks and peaches to all the subsequent brides’ wedding wardrobe. The pink Sabyasachi wasn’t just a lehenga, it was a phenomenon. With Kajal’s opulent Anamika Khanna lehenga we surely have another one into making. Here’s an outfit that demands to be looked at and admired, one detail after the other. We’ll perhaps start with the intricate zardozi work.

The Gorgeous Handwork

Instagram

With floral motifs inspired by the traditional handwork, the embroidered pattern took 20 people and a month’s time to be finished. Take a close look at the intricacy and finesses of the jaal work and you would know why. Don’t miss out on the orange accents either, that effortlessly slip into the blush pink dupatta and provide a delicate balance to the entire outfit.

Dupatta Game On Fire

Currently, everyone is drolling over Kajal’s pink dupatta and its unhinged embroidery. Well, the cutwork details on the organza dupatta are really something. So are the tangerine and blue accents on its border. However, it is the red dupatta and how symmetrically it is falling on the skirt to create a panelled effect is what’s making us breathe heavy right now. Seriously, what is this sorcery? Also, shoutout to Ami Patel for really killing it with the styling!

Jewels For Days

Right from the pearl and kundan waistband to the gorgeous mathapatti, every single jewel here is a statement piece. However, it is the mathapatti that wins the show for us and is surely going to be a huge trend in no time. Don’t miss out on the OTT kaleeras too.

We are an absolute sucker for that glow-from-within bridal look and here’s how you can get it too:

The Reception Ivory

Instagram

By now, ivory has legit become the go-to post-wedding attire for all the celebs out there. Deepika Padukone did it, Priyanka Chopra did it, Neha Kakkar did it, and now Kajal has done it. However, nothing about Kajal’s outfit makes you feel like this has been done before, all thanks to the unique silhouette. We are crushing hard on the body-hugging fit as well as colour-on-colour embroidery here. Also, simply love how she decided to keep it simple with her hair and jewels.

Yellow And All The Sunshine

Kajal really seems to have a thing for Colour-on-colour embroidery and her yellow Manish Malhotra saree is proof. Featuring scattered floral threadwork, here is an outfit that is as versatile as it is gorgeous. However, we really do love how the designer has made up for the understated factor with an OTT back and cutdana and pearl rows that you would have found falling on her back instead of swinging in rows two seasons ago. Love how the embroidery has evolved and also how beautifully it complements the outfit.
