The Most Famous Outfits At The NMACC Fashion Exhibit!

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) is one of the Ambanis’ most historic creations in India. The centre serves as a showcase for the greatest fashion and artwork by Indian designers and artists. It conducts a fashion exhibition named “India in Fashion,” which honours all iconic creations by designers who are either Indian or have incorporated textiles and techniques from India. If you enjoy fashion, this exhibition will be your Disneyland!

Let’s take a look at the most famous outfits at the NMACC fashion exhibit that will make you want to book your tickets right away:

Isha Ambani’s Valentino Lehenga

Isha Ambani had the most unique bridal trousseau that deserves to be cherished. For her reception, she wore a gold lehenga that was custom-made by Maison Valentino. This is literally the first lehenga made by the international brand, and they have pledged that it will also be their last. No wonder it is one of the best sights at the fashion exhibit.

Manish Malhotra’s Iconic Bollywood Looks

Manish Malhotra has been Bollywood’s favourite designer for the longest time, and for good reason. He has made some of the most iconic costumes that we have seen in films. Three of these legendary outfits are on display at the NMACC exhibit. It features Kajol’s green lehenga that she wore in DDLJ, Kareena Kapoor’s Bole Chudiyan outfit, and Priyanka Chopra’s sexy silver Desi Girl saree. Trust me, it will give you major nostalgia.

Madhuri Dixit’s Devdas Lehenga

While Devdas is a heartwarming love story between Devdas and Paro, we certainly cannot ignore Chandramukhi’s beauty and outfits. Madhuri Dixit wore the most iconic ensembles in the movie, designed by Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla. One such ensemble is on display at NMACC. It is an ivory lehenga doused in mirrorwork, and it weighs 10 kg!

Deepika Padukone’s Showstopping Lehenga

In 2022, Manish Malhotra launched his collection, Mijwan, which featured the most stunning and glistening traditional pieces. Deepika Padukone played showstopper for the designer at the fashion show and made headlines with her lehenga. The embroidered cape lehenga was so breathtaking that it has reserved a place for itself at the renowned exhibit!

Sonam Kapoor’s Wedding Lehenga

Sonam Kapoor’s wedding attire didn’t miss the opportunity to etch its place in fashion history and has also been displayed at the fashion exhibit. Her bespoke red-hued lehenga was designed by Anuradha Reddy and had taken almost six months to complete. The handwoven fabric was developed in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, using a special gold and silk yarn. The embroidery was created using the kalabattu technique with real gold and silver threads.

Athiya Shetty’s Haldi Outfit

Athiya Shetty’s haldi anarkali designed by Ritu Kumar, has very recently been added to the exhibit. Using old chai-dipped cotton fabric and antique gold work, the gorgeous ivory cotton and intricate handmade gold gota work anarkali took 2000 hours to embroider.
